House plants (Indoor Plants)

Plants
Plants help humans and our environment in many different ways:
  • Makes food
  • Generates Oxygen
  • Provides shelter for some animals
  • Helps us to preserve the soil
  • Products can be used for making furniture's etc.
  • Used for beautifying our surroundings
Plants are important and inevitable in our daily life, its part of our food chain. Herbs were used from the time of our forefathers to treat various diseases.

Indoor Plants
Having good indoor air quality is very important, especially since many of us spend so much time inside. But in our house / office air pollutants are generated by computer equipment, furniture, paint and air conditioning. Indoor plants not only beautify the inner space (either office or home), it also purifies the air by filtering out toxins, pollutants and the carbon dioxide we exhale - replacing them with life sustaining oxygen!
Not all plants can be good indoor plants. Some of them are listed below and some good indoor plants do have harmful effects on pets, that is also listed. I have given a link below which I think may help you in selecting a indoor plant as per your requirement.
